Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) Occluder

NiTi alloy transcatheter occluder for congenital ventricular septal defects in dogs and cats

Category:

The VSD occluder is a self-expanding double-disc device woven from Nitinol wire for transcatheter closure of congenital ventricular septal defects. Echocardiography (TTE/TEE) defines defect size and margins; the occluder is delivered through the femoral vein and released to seal the defect. The tapered waist design and controlled wire diameter improve flexibility and reduce the risk of atrioventricular conduction block.

Key Selling Points

✓ High-performance NiTi alloy weave with super-elasticity and shape-memory recovery
✓ Bioanatomical curve design reduces arrhythmia risk from chamber conduction interference
✓ Polyester membrane layers with ultra-thin PET film in the waist for lower delivery resistance
✓ Immediate flow blocking, suitable for high-pressure defects
✓ Transfemoral venous delivery – minimally invasive alternative to open-heart surgery
